Soap - Cold Process
These bars are deliberately ‘rough cut’ to give a rustic appearance which we feel compliments the natural, hand made process we use and the preference we have for using local botanicals and herbs renowned for their differing skin care properties. Sometimes there will be a white powdery ’bloom’ on the top of these soaps. This is called soda ash - a natural part of the soap making process and will disappear upon first wetting. They are a hard, long lasting bar and come wrapped with just a sleeve of bio-degradable paper listing our ingredients in full.

Olive Oil Castile (all skin types - especially sensitive and very young) Made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil sourced from the hot, dry sunny slopes of the Greek Islands our artisan soap is made using over 80% olive oil to produce a highly moisturising, mild and gentle long - lasting bar. Olive oil is Nature’s humectant - holding moisture against the skin to protect and nourish. Suitable for even the most sensitive and young skin. We have left this bar unfragranced and the delicate colour is obtained simply from the oils themselves.

Hemp Seed Oil & Wild Nettle (mature, damaged, dull, masculine) Probably the most versatile oil in Nature, cold processed to retain all the natural Omega’s - rich in fatty acids and natural emollients - perfect for sensitive, dry, damaged or mature skins, Hemp Seed oil will increase the skins moisture retention abilities (said to promote younger looking skin with regular use….) Wildcrafted Nettle Leaf improves circulation, stimulates the growth of healthy new skin cells and is a mild astringent to tone and rejuvenate. This bar speaks for itself and is both fragrance and colour free

Wild Rosehip & Geranium (oily, scarred, open pores, problem - exfoliating) Rosehip Seed oil is a ‘dry’ oil, the only vegetable oil to contain Retinoic (Vitamin A) acid - great soap for problem skin and to assist in tightening large pores. Said to heal scar tissue and benefit oily skin, we have included a scattering of crushed hips to act as a gentle exfoliant. Wild Geranium Essential oil helps balance the secretion of sebum and stimulated sluggish skin - its natural antiseptic properties heal and tone. Evening Primrose oil which dilutes the accumulation of fat in the pores is added towards the end of the soap making process to retain all of its benefits

Gardeners Grits
Gardeners Grits (overworked, chapped, workaday, scratched hands - and feet) A heavy - duty kitchen soap, beloved by all our customers for its ability to slough away ingrained dirt and grime whilst both moisturising and healing those little nicks and cuts. We superfat this amazing soap with Jojoba oil and Aloe Vera gel to moisturise and aid healing. Ground pumice gets rid of all the dirt and gentle soothing oatgrounds help bring back the skins natural balance. There’s Rosemary powder in here too for it’s antibacterial and antiseptic properties and honey powder to attract dirt from deep in the pores. Essential oils of Rosemary & Eucalyptus provide the fragrance and further healing.

Not to be used on the face or delicate skins please!.

Note: Our soaps do not contain preservatives or any artificial ingredients - because of the large amount of natural oils and vegetable glycerine they contain we recommend that you keep them dry (when not in use obviously) - they will last longer that way.
