Lip Balms
Unlike the skin on your body (with about 16 layers) your lips have only 5 layers of skin. There are no sweat or sebaceous glands on the lips either to form a protective layer and keep them moist. For this reason lips dry out quicker and become chapped easily.

Many commercial Lip Balms are made with petroleum or paraffin based oils which actually have the effect of drying out lips even more. Some also contain lanolin which adversely affects many people.

Our luxury Lip Balms are made from purely plant based ingredients with a high percentage of Northumbrian Beeswax which forms a protective non-greasy layer on the lips to prevent chaps and cracks during even the most adverse weather conditions. Vitamin rich oils and butters nourish, moisturise and soothe and we even have an exfoliating balm to slough off dry skin for kissable lips.

Every Lip Balm we handmake has an added natural sunscreen.

You will find that, because our Lip Balms are a totally natural product they will last longer and are firmer than many commercial brands so we recommend softening a tiny amount between your fingers before smoothing on your lips.

Citrus Exfoliating Lip Balm
- (great for all skin types - especially lips chaffed or damaged by exposure to the elements (or too many late nights))
The one to use if your lips are chapped from either the sun or cold - we have included tiny flakes of Lemon Peel powder to act as a gentle exfoliant in this highly effective and super moisturising balm. We use Essential oils of Lime, Lemon and Orange to flavour this special blend because of their natural antifungal and antiseptic qualities. At the first tingle of a cold sore dab a little on.
